The Apollo Pro can take off from 0 to 30 mph in 2.9 second thanks to a dual-motor drive.
Electric scooters are great for getting around a city. You don’t have to deal with the headache of traffic or parking and you get the bonus of a lower carbon footprint for your commute. But, some of them can be a little slow.
However, the Canadian e-scooter maker Apollo isn’t interested in making another slow e-scooter. Instead, the company wants something that could keep up with cars. That’s how we get to the Apollo Pro, which Apollo calls its first “hyper scooter.”
It’s powered by a dual-motor drive and Apollo’s proprietary Mach 1 controller that gives it that wild top speed, along with a 0 to 30 mph in 2.9 seconds.
The Apollo Pro will also have a regenerative braking system that recharges the battery up to 10 percent when you brake. Speaking of battery, the e-scooter will get up to 62 miles of range.
The Apollo Pro will be built with 12-inch self-healing tires, a unibody frame that can support up to 330 lbs, and 360-degree lighting so you’ll always be seen in the street.
Weirdly enough, Apollo designed the e-scooter to use your smartphone and the Apollo app as the display. Luckily, the e-scooter wirelessly charges your phone while it’s mounted as the display.
